Infini vs. Traditional Face Lifts: Which is Better for You?

Everyone ages. Unfortunately, as we age, our bodies start to produce less collagen and our skin starts to lose elasticity. This leads to sagging, wrinkles, jowls, and other issues that make us look and feel older.

It’s only natural to want to like how you look and be proud of your appearance. The good news is that there are many options available that can help turn back the clock.

What is a Traditional Face lift?

Traditionally, a facelift is an invasive procedure that is designed to reduce the signs of aging. A traditional facelift works by making incisions in the skin, then pulling the skin tighter or removing excess skin. The goal is to smooth out wrinkles and folds and tighten facial tissue. With some facelifts, the fat in the face is sometimes moved, removed, or sculpted. The wounds are then taped or stitched closed.

Depending on the situation and the individual, a facelift can take about 3 to 6 hours. After the procedure is complete, you may experience some side effects such as drainage from the incisions, bruising, numbness, swelling, or pain.

What is Infini?

The Infiniti treatment is often called a non-invasive facelift because it results in smoother and tighter skin without surgery. The process requires minimal downtime, and a session typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

The Infiniti process requires less time and comes with significantly fewer potential side effects because it is not an invasive surgery. Instead, it microneedling and radiofrequency to tighten skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and stimulate collagen production without the need to go under the knife.

How Do They Work?

The Infini process uses radiofrequency energy waves to heat the deep layer of your skin and stimulate collagen production. As mentioned, as we age, our bodies naturally produce less collagen and this causes skin to sag and lose elasticity. By triggering your body to produce more collagen, your skin becomes more supple, soft, and elastic. That means wrinkles will become less visible, your skin will look tighter and firmer and you’ll look several years younger.

At the same time, Infinity uses microneedling, which involves pricking the skin with tiny needles. This is also designed to stimulate collagen production and tighten and rejuvenate your skin. When both of these processes are used simultaneously, the results can be dramatic. The Infiniti treatment can help with several other issues as well, including reducing the appearance of scans (including acne scars), hyperpigmentation, large pores, stretch marks, and more.

The Similarities

The similarities between the two processes start with the fact that both are designed to make your skin look and feel younger. Following either procedure, your skin will be tighter; wrinkles and fine lines will fade away; and jowls, crow’s feet, and other issues will become significantly less apparent.

In addition, both processes should only be done by trained and knowledgeable professionals.

The Differences

The main difference between a traditional facelift and the Infiniti non-surgical facelift option is that Infiniti is non-invasive. While you may experience some tightness or stinging during a session, this is obviously much less significant than the potential discomfort or pain following a traditional facelift.

General anesthesia is typically used during a traditional facelift, and you may experience pain for several weeks following the treatment. The incisions will likely be covered with bandages and you will need to rest with your head elevated for several days following the surgery. After about a week, you will likely need to go in and have the stitches removed.

With Infiniti, you can go home after your treatment and resume your normal activities. Plus, the procedure itself only takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
